Investment Philosophy
Our investment philosophy is derived from a few core tenets. We don’t believe there is a “best” investment, strategy, or style. Many investment approaches can be successful, some at different times than others.
We believe that consistency is more important than exceptionalism.
Sending a rocket to the moon is exciting but is problematic if said rocket explodes on half the trips before even exiting Earth’s atmosphere. And we know we cannot predict the future. As shocking as this last claim is, we’ve been sufficiently surprised – and been surprised about being surprised – a sufficient number of times to lose faith in our crystal ball.
That said, our investment process, in practice, focuses on delivering on the principles of diversification, downside protection, and robustness.
At the root of all of this is an uninterrupted discipline.
